Votre mission

The incumbent will work in the Finance and Administration team. Under the supervision of the President, he/she will be responsible for the accounting and finance of the company. In addition, he/she will be in charge of a team consisting of an accounts payable person, an accounts receivable person and an administrative assistant.

Vos responsabilités

  • Plan, direct and coordinate all operational functions related to accounting
  • Performing the bank reconciliation
  • Participate in and supervise the completion of the month-end closing and any other related tasks
  • Signing and verifying releases and disclosures
  • Prepare letters of compliance for the CCQ and CNESST
  • Evaluate current accounting activities and make recommendations for improvement and implement new processes as required
  • Provide management with essential information to enable them to make informed decisions
  • Evaluate, coordinate and optimise the existing budget process
  • Make projections for budget preparation
  • Prepare and analyse the process of consolidating financial statements
  • Prepare internal and external financial statements
  • Managing investor and investment agency relations
  • Prepare various quarterly cost reports
  • Calculate and pay GST/QST instalments
  • Identifying and managing business risks and insurance requirements
  • Develop and monitor corporate performance measures
  • Coordinate the activities of the external auditors
  • Overseeing relations with the independent auditors
  • Preparation and management of financing and investment files
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures
  • Participate in the training and retention of administrative staff in the accounting and finance department
  • Collaborate with management to make decisions on the development of the accounting portion of the information systems

Profil recherché

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration
  • Be a member of the Ordre des CPA du Québec
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar positions
  • A minimum of 2 years in team management
  • Be bilingual
  • Experience in the Quebec construction industry (an asset)
  • Thorough knowledge of the Office suite and Acomba (an asset)
